I started YUASA to explore the intricacies of my Japanese American identity, and to understand how the places I have called home continue to shape the way I see the world.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by water, forests, mountains, and a certain quietness. Eventually, I ventured east to Brooklyn, where everything felt louder, faster, more expressive, and alive. YUASA was born somewhere between those two worlds.

The brand is a meeting place for restraint and exuberance, ease and sensuality, Japanese simplicity and New York energy. It is deeply personal, but never overly serious. I believe clothes should make you feel comfortable in your body and more alive in your life.

That belief runs through everything we create: relaxed silhouettes, tactile fabrics, vibrant colors, unexpected prints, and thoughtful details designed to be lived in. Pieces for long lunches, warm nights, unfamiliar cities, weekends by the water, and wherever else life takes you.

YUASA is my way of sharing a relaxed and distinctly colorful point of view, one shaped by heritage, place, pleasure, and the freedom to be entirely yourself.
